It is a painless procedure which takes just a few minutes. The tooth surface is prepared and air dried. A coating is the placed and hardened with a s special light. The sealant can be transparent or white and is not usually visible. Sealants can wear down over time but last for many years. Regular dental checks are important to see if any require replacing.
